It's 11.09 on a wednesday morning so you might be wondering why I'm blogging instead of listening intently (or at least trying to) to some boring lecture in school.
The reason: BECAUSE I AM SICK!!
Fever and a very bad sore throat.
It's actually better now. Last night, my sore throat was so bad it hurt even when I yawn.
I haven't got any idea why I got sick but my sore throat was already developing yesterday.
By the way, I sneaked out of school yesterday!!!
It's the first time I ponned school lor. But it cant be really considered as ponning cos I had only 1 lecture that day and it ended at 10am. We are not allowed to go out of school until 1pm so we were all super bored.
Then we saw this big group of J1s planning to sneak out of school too so we decided to folloow them and see what happens.
Apparently there is this small gate beside a rubbish dump that is open and everybody just went out from there.
It's quite risky cos the rubbish dump was just beside the main gate with the guard. Either the guard was extremely blind or he didn't care cos alot of people were streaming out of the gate. Even some seniors also followed us out. Hahahaha.
So after we sneaked out me, valerie and 2 of my classmates went to hc to visit hsiufan and we spent our time there telling jokes cos hsiufan has no lessons and a 5-hours break.
Oh no I think my fever's coming back. RRAAARRRRGGGHHH

Too busy for the past week to post anything. Kept reaching home at 9plus or 10plus or even 11plus for thursday and friday.
Monday: Got split up into our new classes!
Finally got rid of shirley and in the same class as valerie. Didn't really play any games though. But had the informal walk-in which is dances performed by different gangs. Quite cool la. But didn't really involve the J1s so got a bit bored after a while.
Then after orientation I had to go for gz. It's supposed to last till 8 but then laoshi wasn't there so the seniors let us off early at 6.45pm. I was still thinking wah so late.
Turned out that it was going to be the earliest time I'll reach home that week.
Tuesday: Station games.
Can't really be considered as fun but it was ok. Much better than sitting in the hall anyway.
Then at 5.30 KK and I went to the hall to watch cheryl mingyi francine and shirley go for western dance auditions. Stayed in the hall for awhile until the smell drove us out so i followed KK to visit their CO practice.
Sat extra-ly at the tan2 bo1 practice classroom next to KK, who was playing pro-ly on the ruan, while I sadly tried to find the notes for "twinkle twinkle little star"
WE stayed there for about an hour? I dunno. Anyway by the end of the hour I managed to force out 5 songs on the ruan, which were "twinkle twinkle little star" "mary had a little lamb" "the doe a deer song" "liang3 zhi1 lao3 hu3" and "xiao3 mi4 feng1".
Went back to wtach the auditions but the NY people's audition groups are the last 2 so we had to wait till its 8.05 before they finished. Apparently the side gate closes at 8.15 so we all rushed to the side gate to find that its already closed.
We seriously thought about climbing over the gate cos the main gate was extremely far. But unlike NY, NJ has barbed wires all over their fence. And when I finally found a hole between the gate and the barbed wires that's big enough for us to climb through. We found alot of red ants climbing all over. Mingyi was so frustrated she said that NJ rear the ants to prevent us from climbing over. HAHAHA.
Wednesday: The quest
Walked around newton and then boon lay trying to find and complete all the stations.
The newton part was quite boring cos everyone was still half asleep and we were so slow we only finished 3 out of 6 stations. But after lunch at boon lay, we all seemed to wake up and started running everywhere and completed all 6 stations.
YAY!! OG5 ROCKS!!
Ok, then went back to school and tried not to fall asleep whil waiting for other OGs to come back.
After that went for gz again and stayed till 8 plus and side gate was closed again. RARH
Thursday: Had intra-house captains ball competition and OG5 won first!! WHEEEE!!
Then there was inter-house dance competition and tyraz won 1st for "till the dawn" and 2nd for "you cant stop the beat" HAHAHA.
Then we had house outing at terra cafe in vivocity and our house name is terra and the cafe is named after us!!! The cafe is actually quite small and everybody had to squeeze their eyeballs out to fit in. Plus the food was not very nice but it was good OG bonding session i suppose.
Friday: WAR GAMES!!!!
Which is actually get-hit-by-water-bombs games. There were all together 11000 water bombs and we just kept throwing or get thrown at. There's this guy from my previous OG who emptied an entire bucket of water over my head.

Later valerie and I tried to take revenge but he runs super fast! Plus our aiming very lousy.....
In the late afternoon we had our tyraz auctioning game!!!
It's very fun. Every OG has obtained a certain number of points from all the games and stuff in the last few days and we had to use these points to auction for items. The OGLs won't show us what the items are. They'll only give a short description for the item. Like the description for the first item is "It is brittle". We can ask 3 yes-or-no questions about the items before we start bidding.
But then some of the answers cannot be trusted cos for one item someone asked "is it edible?", the house captain answered yes and it turned out to be a pot of grass. HAHA! Damn funny.
N OG5 rocked! we used the least points (about 170 points) to bid for the most things. At the end of the game we got 3 big packs of marmee (the "it is brittle" thing), 2 boxes of oreos (the description was "it looks like michael jackson") and two big bottles of coke ( description: "it cost $3.10")
Other OGs used like 80 over or 100 over points to bid for a cup of water or a few pieces of green paper or the grass. It was quite exciting.
Then at night there was supposed to be a campfire but it started raining so the whole thing moved to the hall.
NJ invited a DJ and the hall looked more like a disco cos the whole hall was dark and there were alot of the disco-looking lights. It was fun despite the heat and the smell.
Everyday: Cheers cheers and more cheers. We were supposed to cheer for everything. I got a very sexy voice yesterday but its fading already. Booo... =D

Finally the 3 days of talk-listening is over and next week will be GAMES.
Good cos my butt wont be able to survive another day of sit-and-stone-till-you-rot talks.
Sneaked out on friday during the cca carnival to go and visit NY's cca orientation.
I MISS NY SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!!!
I miss everything from the quadrangle to the bright and airy classrooms where you can climb over if you feel like. I even miss the lessons, Mdm Toh and ST!!!! I cant believe it.

Then yesterday I went to get my hair cut.
I told the hairdresser I just wanted to trim it shorter and layer a bit.
So she washed my hair and started cutting while I skipped happily off to stoning-land.
Then when she cut half-way she suddenly went "mutter mutter mutter *points points* mutter mutter"
I had totally no idea what she was trying to say cos I was still stoning so I said (very politely) "HUH??!!"
So the hairdresser repeated "mutter mutter cut.... *points points* mutter nice... mutter Ok??"
I was not thick-skinned even to ask her to repeat again so I just said "Orh... OK."
She went back to her *snip snip snip* and I went back to my stoning-land
And the next time I looked, I HAVE AQUIRED A FRINGE!!!!
I haven't had a fringe since I was 10 or something when my mom still cuts my hair into mushroom shaped thingies.
Goodness me.
My parents couldn't even recognize me when I came out. *sobs*
Well, at least when the hair-dresser was muttering, she didn't suggest to just put a bowl over my head and cut around it.
I think I would have agreed to practically everything she said
*self-consoling session in progress*

1st day of school!!!
I woke up quite early (6!!!!) but only arrived at 7.25 cos of that STUPID IDIOTIC JAM!
But Mingyi arrived even later than me and KK was even later so hahaha im punctual =)
It felt really wierd to be on "the other side of the fence" you know. I kind of miss NY. It's called school-sick.
Anyway, we were cruelly seperated into our OG groups and went to the hall and sat there for the rest of the day till our butts fell, listening to boring talks. Apparently the games doesnt start until next week.
But we have to learn some orientation dance tmr.
Bleh.... just when I thought I had gotten rid of mass dance =P
