I'm super sleepy now!! I'm yawning so much all my tears are coming out. So dont be surprised if u spot loads of spelling mistakes. Haha. My eyes are like permanently obscured by my tears.
Anyway, I was planning to update about yesterday. Fun Buzz'09! Haha. It's organised by OSA. Overseas Students Association. So the thing's supposed to be for overseas students =D Im extra, as usual
Let me tell u who's in my team!! There's ME! liyi, jacky, pekyee, Z (I dunno how to spell her name leh. But we all pronounce her name as 'Z'), fiona, esther, shucheng, marvin and enlin! I hope I didn't remember/spell anyone's name wrongly! Yup, so that's 10 of us in a group. N our group name is STAR OCEAN!! Hahaha... random name. It sounds like some cruise ship. Then we had to shorten it to Star-O to fit into our cheers, which makes it sound like some cereal brand, u know, like Koko Krunch -______-
Well, as GUAI HC students, we were extremely punctual. They said report st 8am. So DING! We were there at 8am!!! But apparently none of the other 27 teams thought punctuality is a 美德 so we had to wait until almost 10 before the thing could start. =(( And when we saw the other groups coming in we were all like !!!!!!o_O!!!!!!!!! Cos
1) Most of the groups are all-guys groups. Or else its like 8 guys 2 girls. While our group is exactly the opposite (8 girls 2 guys T_T)
2) All the guys are the size of mountain gorillas (I dunno if such a species exist, but "mountain gorillas" sound scarier than just "gorillas")
3) They looked like VIOLENT mountain gorillas!!
We were one of the only 2 JC groups lah. The rest all uni or poly. N besides having 8 girls n only 2 guys, 9/10 of us are not in sports CCA! Hahaha. We must have looked really pathetic. Once we saw the other teams we were all like "Ok lets go kiss the trophies n vouchers byebye"
BUT unexpectedly they had this special prize for the most dynamic team! Meaning most cheers most enthu most zihigh! Hahaha. N we were all eyeing that prize. We even had a cheers ic! Enlin!! She's the most zihigh person I've ever EVER seen!
Ok then was the games. The first one we played was Wargh Games -___- Its supposed to be like paintball but the guns use laser or something of that sort. 5 ppl to a team n each one has 10 lives. Me, jacky, liyi, esther n fiona in one team (if I rmb correctly. I wasnt very familiar with the other ppl in my group at first so im not very sure). N we were the first to go!! Against 5 guys =( Who probably all had NS. Well, this was how the game went:
The referee blows the starting horn.
The 5 of us stares at each other with HUH? WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?? faces while our opponent team runs out expertly and hides behind some of the barriers.
After the gamemasters gave us alot of WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?? stares, we finally decieded to run out (in a group) and clumped together behind one weeny barrier and immediately started laughing our heads off.
And we couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the game!! (which didnt last long anw. we all died pretty quickly)
After that was JOUSTING! They had this inflated bouncy castle thingy with 2 (very small) round platforms n we were supposed to balance on it while trying to knock the opponent off with this really big n long bolster-like thing (also inflated. but very hard)
We watched other ppl play first n they were VERY VIOLENT!!! They were like, trying to knock the brains out of each other or something. N there was this guy who just POUNCED on his opponent. So when its our turn we were all quaking in our shoes. Haha.
The first round my opponent wasn't tat violent thank god n I won!! The only one in my group! Hahaha. But the 2nd round the guy from another group kept smashing the bolster thing in my face!!! And according to liyi n jacky I turned violent too!! Haha! I was abit pissed la. But later the guy came over to apologise, so i thought i was ok. But my nose hurt quite a bit. N my nose seem to be very well-connected to my tear duct cos everytime my nose get smashed, all my tears will come out. Haha. I must have looked as if I was going to cry.
After that was lunch then 6 legged race which was quite boring. Then blanket volleyball! Which was just 4 ppl hold 4 corners of a blanket n throw/catch a ball over a net. Me, pekyee, jacky n liyi went first n we played our highest scoring game!! 11 to 16! We are the 11 of course. Hahaha. But at least we managed to score! N we scored 11! Which was alot (to us)!
The last game was pushball, which was the most violent game of all. There was this 2m diameter ball n we were supposed to push it over the opponent's line. Our opponent team was *surprise! surprise!* all guys so obviously we were crushed -__- N poor liyi got 2 bumps on her head =(
Well..... in the end we set a new record for Fun Buzz! We were the only group in history who scored ZERO!! Hahaha!!! But we were still super zihigh. Between every game we would snatch the mike from the mc n start throwing out all the orientation cheers. Even NJ cheers lor. Hahaha. N we made up our own version of "twinkle twinkle little stars" to fit our group name. Complete with actions k!! Hahaha!! N the mc liked it so much he called all the other mc-s to come watch n he started doing the actions with us!!! LOL!
So in the end, guess what we won? HAHA!! The most dynamic team award lor!! N when we went on stage to receive our $200 worth of hamper, the mc still announced that we are the only group in history to score zero! OMG so funny! Hahaha!!
N now Im sunburnt n semi-voiceless! =( But I think yesterday was really fun. Cos had a great group!! Im waiting for the OSA to upload the photos so I can try to kope. But Ive got to sleep now!! 11.30!
